Review of The Faerie Guardian (Creepy Hollow Book 1) including Book 2 & 3 by Rachel Morgan

The Faerie Guardian (Creepy Hollow Book 1)

Book one started with seventeen-year-old Violet Fairdale, a Faerie Guardian trainee close to graduation. Faerie Guardians have certain Guild laws to uphold while protecting humans from dangerous magical creatures. On her most recent assignment, Violet’s troubles and adventures started when a human followed her into the fae realm.

Expect lots of action and a little bit of romance. The main characters are well developed and credible, there’s a great plot and the setting was very creative and relates well to the theme of the book. It just ended too soon!

What a great start to the Creepy Hollow series, and I really liked this book. There’s too many favourite parts to highlight any specific one.

I can also recommend Creepy Hollow book 2 and 3 which is the complete set of Violet’s story.

The fast-paced intrigue and love triangle continue in Book 2, The Faerie Prince. The Unseelie Prince becomes nearly unstoppable, there’s abductions, murders, and enchanted storms which for sure provides an engaging and creative plot. Another amazing experience with Violet and her friends in Creepy Hollow.

I don’t want to give too much away with book 3, The Faerie War, if you haven’t read the first 2 books yet, but Lord Draven is becoming more powerful while building an army of guardians by brainwashing them. Life is getting more complicated for our strong heroine, Violet, but perhaps a long-forgotten prophecy and weapon could protect Creepy Hollow from the evil Lord Draven. Again an excellent book full of twists and turns which will keep you reading non-stop till the very last page!

And if you didn’t get enough of Violet, you can go back and read short clips of some of her earlier assignments as a guardian trainee in An A to Z of Creepy Hollow Fae.

Luckily for us there’s more from Rachel Morgan! But the review on A Faerie’s Secret (Creepy Hollow Book 4) is for another day. And yes, it’s even better than the previous 3 books! I promise.

PS: The author also wrote a few romance novels. Sweet first loves and swoon worthy!
